Who is Brandon Awadis?

Brandon Awadis was born to Iraqi immigrants parents who moved from Iraq to the USA for a better life. His father eventually found success in the USA after buying two liquor shops.

Awadis went to journalism school, where he emphasized media studies in college. While he was still in college, he became involved in gaming. In an interview with Forbes in May 2020, he said he thought he should quit college and pursue a gaming career. When he first told his parents that he preferred pursuing a gaming career over going to college, his parents refused because they hardly believed in viability in a YouTube career. Instead, his parents wanted him to pursue a traditional career.

However, Awadis stayed focused on his goal. He began putting extra effort to prove to his parents that YouTube could be a thriving career. He worked hours every day for months and got a check for $11,000. His parents initially thought it was a scam. However, after convincing them for a few weeks, they allowed him to take a semester off. In his semester off, his earnings constantly grew. After that, he also started doing vlogs featuring his family and his dog named Bosley. When his YouTube channel started to take off, he transitioned from gaming videos to vlogging.
