The 2003 spin-off board game Clue FX replaced the original six weapons with six new ones, fitting the new outdoor, garden party setting:

  • Horseshoe
  • Tennis Racquet
  • Lawn Gnome
  • Water Bucket
  • Hammer
  • Garden Shears

When Clue: Discover the Secrets was released in 2008, a new set of weapons were introduced. Instead of six, Discover the Secrets has a total of nine potential weapons. While classic weapons from the original board game remained (Candlestick, Knife, and Rope), some weapons were either renamed, reintroduced from pervious games, or completely original to the game:

  • Candlestick
  • Knife
  • Rope
  • Pistol
  • Poison
  • Axe
  • Trophy
  • Dumbbell
  • Baseball Bat

These weapons also made in an appearance in Clue: Secrets in Paris, but are now possible props that could've been used in the thief of a famous painting.

In 2023's Clue Conspiracy, there are six possible weapons that members of the conspiracy could use to kill Mr. Coral:

  • Knife
  • Hatchet
  • Flare Gun
  • Poison
  • Fishing Line
  • Hammer

Originally, there were nine weapons in Clue Conspiracy, which were removed. The scrapped weapons were:

  • Oar
  • Harpoon
  • Campfire spit

Patent[]

The following are weapons that were featured in the original concept of the game, Murder!. While not used in the final game, most of them have made appearances in several spin-off games and themed editions, as well other official media (such as the game shows):

  • Axe
  • Shillelagh
  • Bomb
  • Rope
  • Dagger
  • Pistol
  • Hypodermic Syringe
