Here we go again!

I once said that my 3rd car mod was supposed to be this very car, to create some kind of holy trinity of international off-roaders (Defender: European, 4Runner: Japanese-American, Patrol: Euro-Japanese) but at the very last minute I went for the 205 since I fancied doing something different for once, and so, after focusing in the 205, and the rollercoaster my life was for the last months, it meant the Patrol was kept barely started for more than 1 year...

...but I still fancied this car of course. It's a legendary car worldwide, maybe not as much as others, but in certain markets it was a big hit, like here in Spain, in which it was built until 2001! (With a nice facelift in-between, called the 260, though) so I felt obliged to finish it.

This time around, instead of showing many progress pics in the thread, I just shown them in development pics and Discord, so I could go straight for a beta release...which is here, as you can see.

Now, bear in mind the car is 'finished', but has the bare minimum of parts and options, in fact, just one factory color is included, one config, one interior color...you get the picture.

Plans are to continue developing it and adding more stuff of course, but there is no timeline for anything right now, and I want to first try to see this base as polished as possible before moving forward.

Of course, this car had 1 billion variants, taking local and international versions alike into account, everything from a high roof version, the spanish 260 I mentioned before, the LWB version with 5 doors, firetrucks...and let's not forget about the original Safari this car is based on, but please try to keeps expectations low. Maybe, and I say MAYBE, will try the high roof one and adding as many features and parts in the mix, but don't expect crazy things.

Also, as always, I welcome all kinds of help from the community in order to improve things, as always my technical abilities are still awful, so for example the diesel 6 cilinder engine doesn't produce the figures it's supposed to have, and the car is about 200 kg too heavy, but I couldn't get the car to weight less without wreaking havoc...anyway, the car should be quite stable, without major issues.

Right now, the list of features is as follows:
  • 3D model port from Forza Horizon 5 (Nissan Safari Turbo), with Gavril D-Series mechanicals and drivetrain, and adapted jbeaming (Some bits from the Cherrier Tograc and Hirochi Sunburst were borrowed as well to fill some gaps in the structure)
