I had read the reviews about this hotel, and I can say they were fair. We stayed in a family room with a kitchenette, and it was spotlessly clean, however the room and the rest of the hotel is not invested in from a maintenance point of view, the clean sheets were stained, the upholstery on the chairs were badly stained, The bathroom was directly from the 70's with no updates. The walls stained and pealing. The kitchen was hanging off its hinges. With this all said, it was still spotlessly clean, and the location and scarcity of hotels due to being a national park allows them to get away with it. Some of the rooms were in better condition than ours.I will say riverside location was stunning, we went to the river most evenings to chill put, as we didn't want to sit in the room and there is plenty of seating in tue gardens, we say a beaver, bats, beautiful birds and this is why we came to this hotel. Would I stay again, yes as it was the location and stunning outdoor space, which was convenient for our Yosemite adventure, the weather allows you to make the most of the outdoors and we were so tired each night we just needed a clean room, which we had. Also, a locals tip was to use the restaurants in Yosemite Lodge, which we did, and they told us their games rooms are maintained better too. I hope this is helpful to prospective bookers. Read less
A disappointing experience

The room was worn, very noisy, open under the door to the outside, room service never showed up.Very noisy aircon.TV signal was not sharp, like a TV from the 70sPool area fine.If the external areas incl. rooms got a makeover, it could be a nice place to stay close to Yosemite National Park.
Great location to Yosemite and a room with a kitchen was a nice addition to our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Yosemite Cedar Lodge very much. We had a room with a kitchen which came in super handy. We stopped to get groceries in Merced so that we would have snacks, breakfast, and dinner options outside of the few restaurants within an hour drive. The kitchen was stocked with plates, bowls, silverware/utensils, cups, mugs, pots, pans, baking sheets, measuring cups, pot holders, foil, a microwave, coffee maker, full fridge & freezer, oven, stove, dish soap, sponge, and paper towels. The rooms were new/ recently renovated, spacious, and comfortable. The only complaint we had with the room was that the air conditioner was super noisy and leaked water all over the floor. The outdoor pool/ hot tub & s'mores area was very nice and inviting. So inviting, in fact, a bear joined us on our first night in the pool area! Very cool! The beach area by the Merced River is also very nice with Adirondack chairs to rest in and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is a store in the lobby with groceries and souvenirs. We did not buy anything from there since we had already gone to a grocery store prior to our arrival. The lobby is a little strange with a 1980's vibe and giant curio cabinets filled with stuffed bears, but I wasn't there to spend time in the lobby so I didn't pay much regard to it. The location to the entrance of Yosemite National Park is about 15 minutes from the resort, which was perfect. We were able to get there for our hikes early in the morning to avoid the line to get in and the crowds in the parking lots. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Yosemite again! #YCL Read less

My family arrived at Cedar Lodge when it was 110 degrees outside, so we greatly appreciated the strong AC that we were welcomed with! We stayed in the main building and had a cute balcony that overlooked the front area. We also had a full fridge and small microwave. There are 2 outdoor and one indoor pool. We chose the main one, which was refreshing and clean. We had it to ourselves in the late afternoon while people were in the park, but others joined in later, as to be expected! We were very pleasantly surprised by the food in the bar and grill. Yes, it's bar food, but the portions were huge and it tasted great. The staff were all very helpful and kind. The lobby has a little market and souvenir shop, plus there is another market about 10 minutes up the street that sells gas as well. There is a small beach area with lights and chairs across the street down by the river, and we enjoyed our time there as well. It's such a cute place and only 15 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite! A less expensive place to stay near Yosemite

Nice large rooms, no housekeeping. Frig and microwave in room, which is nice because all food venues close at 9:30 pm. Beautiful “adults” pool and hot tub that are invaded by children all time and not monitored. Very disappointing especially since there are two other pools that are loaded with children. About 15 minutes from east entrance of… Read more
